No fries here -- just excellent hand rolls. I got there pretty late (after 8pm) and there was still a line out the door. If you're by yourself or you only have 2 people in your party, make sure that you flag the hostess down inside; mine got me seated so quickly compared to the other people in line. With the sushi... I'm a massive fan of Sugarfish already so I encourage newbies to try a hand roll set. The special Nozie was out by the time that I was seated, so I went for the set of 6 & the crab. I'm still dreaming about the lobster & crab rolls. There's no going wrong with this chain. As someone who travels a ton and had a tough travel day, I appreciated the consistency of this spot. I know that I can get better sushi at other spots but when there are so many decisions after a long day I love that this spot is about good sushi.

This was a heck of a find. It's first come first served counter service and the line may snake out the door and down the sidewalk. BUT - don't let that deter you - it moves quickly. The chefs make the hand rolls in a steady pace and can get you in and out quickly. Highly recommend a set combo as a starting point unless you're adverse to anything on the list. I chomped through: Toro Hand Roll (x2) Yellowtail Hand Roll Bay Scallop Hand Roll Crab Hand Roll Lobster Hand Roll They were all very good!

The rolls were filling and the service was fast, but unfortunately there's always a line and nearing the end of my meal I felt rushed to pay and leave

This is my second time at Kazunori! Amazing food, good service. I love every roll. My favorite is the scallop. Every roll is served with diced or minced fish. I like that the rice is well seasoned. As a short person, it's extremely hard to get up on their stools. Other than that, price is affordable, food is yummy and ambiance is great. No tipping establishment! Love that! Would come again and again!

Huge points for the warm rice concept! I really enjoyed these handrolls with warm rice, it really enhances the melt-in-your-mouth experience. My favorite rolls were lobster and crab. I also got toro, yellowtail, and sea bream but didn't think the fish were exceptional. I would have liked for the rice to fish proportion to be a little even, it was not a big deal though. The experience is well designed with guests sitting at the bar and chefs delivering handrolls right in front of you. It's very efficient! They do have a no tipping policy, which I thought was interesting. The service was still very good despite that.

What's not to love!! This is the perfect spot for a date night The handrolls are top notch and the value, experience (besides waiting on line), ambience are unbeatable. The servers and chefs are friendly and attentive, and you never feel rushed because the chef only begins making your next roll when you're finished with the previous one. The lobster hand roll is elite - would recommend getting the five roll combo to try it (neglected to take photo because I was excited). Also ordered the iced green tea this time which was so refreshing!

Outstanding. Just yes. Yes all around. I was recommended to this place by a friend of mine who has visited NYC on several occasions. Spent a food day in NYC and this did not disappoint. Came in and only had 4 hand rolls (I was full from a previous meal) and was very happy that I did make the trip down for this place too. Very unique interior, love the low lighting and ambiance and the sushi chefs were very fast, even with every seat being full at the bar. Service was great. The host was very warm and welcoming. This is now on my places to go to and to recommend to anyone who visits NYC and loves sushi or hand rolls.

Amazing value for the price. Food quality is not bad. Nice ambience. Ok service. Perfect for girl hangout, chill date.

Walked in for lunch on a weekend and were seated right away which was a surprise cause there's often a wait. Everyone there was super friendly and overall had a great experience in terms of service. We chose the 6-roll combo and much I honestly thought I might need more but ended up being perfect. All the rolls were great with the tuna and salmon varieties being my favorites. The seaweed and rice they use in particular are some of the best I've had. The place is your classic bar-style/omakase style restaurant where you sit with everyone else sit right in front of the chefs and team. Had a great meal and definitely recommend as a place worth trying!
